Buddy is a wonderful and witty 20 year old young man. He loves Church, Chuck E. Cheese videos, chicken nuggets, and his beloved Philadelphia sports teams; in no particular order. Most teenagers would choose "sleep" over an early morning school bus! Not Buddy. Despite the opportunity to get a ride to school from his big sister - he would wait for the 6:30 AM bus at the end of the driveway. It was the routine and the accomplishment he got from riding the bus by himself to school. And always, he would say, "have a good day" to me or my wife Pamela.

As parents, we couldn’t be more proud of him as we are constantly reminded of his desire to wish others goodwill.

When Buddy was 5 years old he was diagnosed with Epilepsy when he had his first seizure at home. He has needed the help of our local police and EMS providers to ensure he is safely moved to the hospital. It seems fitting that he is always wishing them well, and, from time to time, dressing up as them for Halloween.

His awareness of his community, and all of the community helpers as he says, is ever present.
