Buddy may face challenges that others don't, but he approaches life with a sense of humor, kindness, and unwavering passion for the things he loves. He is a truly wonderful young man and we are so grateful to have him in our lives. Buddy may be 20 years old, but his spirit and enthusiasm for life are ageless. He is a shining example of how to embrace the things that bring you joy and never let anything hold you back. Buddy is an inspiration to us all.

Despite these challenges, Buddy has never let his disabilities define him. He is a loving and kind young man with a wonderful sense of humor. He can often be found cracking jokes and making everyone around him laugh. His wit is truly one of a kind.

One of Buddy's absolute favorite things in the world is going to church. He loves singing hymns, listening to the pastor's sermons, and being surrounded by his church family. It is a place where he feels at peace and connected to something bigger than himself.

But perhaps Buddy's biggest love of all is his beloved Philadelphia sports teams. Whether it's the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, or 76ers, he is their number one fan. He watches every game, performs the play by play along with the Phillies broadcaster, and cheers them on with all his heart. His passion for his teams is infectious and he has even convinced the rest of the family to join in on game nights.

Fragile X Syndrome can cause, among other disabilities, epilepsy in some individuals. Since Buddy was 5 years old, he has needed the help of our local police and EMS providers to ensure he is safely moved to the hospital. It seems fitting that he is always wishing them well, and, from time to time, dressing up as them for Halloween.

His awareness of his community, and all of the community helpers as he says, is ever present.
